Senior Indirect Tax Specialist is a person, who takes on the responsibility for VAT processes and declarations for client Business Unit(s), in accordance with agreed timeline and quality.
Main requirements:
- Higher education in Economics/ Finance or relevant field;
- Previous experience in Accounting or finance (experience in VAT accounting will be
- considered as an advantage);
- Fluency in English (both verbal and written) to communicate with Business Units and colleagues in Europe and USA;
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills;
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks under strict deadlines;
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, previous experience with ERP systems will be considered as an advantage.
- Knowledge of German would be considered as an advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Acquire, analyze and prepare VAT data/ declarations and ensure accurate, compliant and timely submission of VAT declarations;
- Support VAT payment and refund process;
- Maintain accounting procedures related to VAT: settlements, reconciliation of VAT accounts, etc.;
- Maintain ERP master data for indirect taxes;
- Perform quality controls: SOX controls and Internal team’s controls;
- Contribute to other projects and duties as assigned by direct supervisor.
