Job Description: Payroll Analyst (Lithuania & Europe)
Location: Kaunas, Lithuania (Hybrid)

Reports to: Payroll Manager
Role Purpose
Payroll Analyst is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of monthly payroll and Time & Attendance data for Lithuania and supporting payroll activities across other European countries as needed.
This role ensures compliance with local labor, tax, and social security regulations and contributes to delivering consistent, efficient, and positive payroll experience for employees across Europe.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Processing & Compliance (40%)
• Prepare and process end to end payroll for Lithuanian employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local legislation.
• Support payroll processing activities for other European countries, in collaboration with internal teams and external payroll providers.
• Ensure correct calculation and payment of salaries, bonuses, deductions, taxes, and social security contributions.
• Manage year end payroll activities and statutory reporting, including terminations and off cycle payments.
• Ensure timely submission and payment of payroll related taxes and mandatory contributions.
Data Management & Systems (30%)
• Collect, validate, and maintain payroll related data, including time, absences, compensation, and benefits.
• Maintain and verify payroll and T&A transactions in Workday and Employee Portal and ensure accurate data flow to payroll systems.
• Prepare payroll accruals and standard payroll reports for Finance and management.
Employee & Stakeholder Support (20%)
• Respond to and resolve employee payroll inquiries and complex pay‑related issues in a professional, timely, and service‑oriented manner.
• Collaborate closely with HR, Finance, and external payroll vendors to ensure smooth and accurate payroll operations.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing payroll data, documentation, and explanations, and by responding to audit inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
Process Improvement & Projects (10%)
• Participate in payroll process of optimization and system improvement initiatives.
• Support payroll related projects, including system implementations, integrations, or process standardization across Europe.
• Perform additional payroll administration tasks as assigned by the Payroll Manager.
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, HR, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in payroll processing or a related payroll/HR role.
• Experience with Lithuanian payroll and statutory requirements is required.
• Exposure to multi country or European payroll environments is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
• Strong knowledge of payroll processes, compliance, and data accuracy.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with HR and payroll systems (e.g., Workday, Business Central) is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain payroll‑related topics clearly to employees and stakeholders across functions and countries.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast‑paced, international environment.
