Strategic Staffing Solutions International‘s client is an American multinational financial services company that makes financial services accessible to people everywhere. They build easy-to-use products and services that connect digital and physical experiences, giving customers choice, security, and reliability wherever they are. As their Billing and Collection department grows rapidly, they’ve opened a new leadership role – IT Director – to lead the global technology strategy and development of revenue-related platforms across their global financial services operations.
In this role, you’ll oversee a global team across Lithuania, the USA, Costa Rica, and India. You’ll also guide the shift from external vendors to in-house teams, help build a corporate technology competence center, and report directly to the Head of Core Financial Services Technologies in Lithuania.
You’ll be trusted to work independently- making decisions, moving things forward, and keeping the CIO and wider organization informed. While collaboration is a key part of the role, it also involves stepping away from a consensus-based approach when needed to keep things progressing.
What you will do:
- Define and execute the global IT roadmap for billing and credit collections systems.
- Align technology initiatives with business goals, regulatory requirements, and financial compliance standards
- Oversee the architecture, development, and integration of billing and collections platforms with core banking, ERP, and CRM systems.
- Ensure systems support complex commissioning models, multi-currency billing, and global credit policies
- Ensure high availability, performance, and security of systems through robust monitoring and incident management.
- Ensure systems comply with global financial regulations (e.g., SOX, GDPR) and internal audit standards.
- Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, and Legal teams to manage credit risk and collections policy enablement
- Partner with Finance, Operations, and Product teams to define requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
- Provide executive-level reporting on system performance, project status, and risk mitigation.
What you will need:
- 10+ years of experience in managing Billing and Collections solution for a large multinational company with specific background in functional strategy, program management, operations, and/or technology function
- At least 10+ years’ experience in a leadership or management role, overseeing teams of Developers, Analysts, and Administrators. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive large-scale Billing and Collections initiatives.
- Expertise in enterprise billing platforms (e.g., Oracle BRM, SAP Billing, Zuora) and credit collections tools (e.g., FICO, Experian, CACS)
- Experience with Oracle Database technologies (e.g., PL/SQL, database architecture).
- Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and tools.
- Knowledge of integration tools (e.g., Oracle SOA Suite, APIs, Web Services).
- Understanding of integration with third-party applications.
- Awareness of Oracle’s evolving product roadmap, including migration paths to Oracle Cloud ERP.
- Familiarity with trends in ERP systems, AI, machine learning, and automation for continuous improvement.
- Extensive experience in global companies with several business verticals.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or finance, or Information Technology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Deep understanding of all aspects of a technology organization.
- Experience in managing ~100M and larger budgets in a highly complex and matrix environment.
- Strong understanding of core business processes (e.g., finance, procurement, HR).
- Ability to easily bridge teams, building collaboration and seamless touch points.
